All about Class Cancellations
Canceling Classes
To cancel a future class, go to the 'Classes & Events' tab and select the class that you would like to cancel and use the 'Cancel' button there.

What happens when I cancel a class in Taramala?
When a class is cancelled in Taramala, an email is sent out to all students that were registered for that class. The text of that email is customizable under the 'Settings/Email' tab.

Attendance for that class will be removed. See below for how reimbursements are handled.

The student schedule will now show the class as being cancelled.

Canceling vs Deleting a Class
If you cancel a class it will show up in the schedule with a strike through the name indicating that it's been canceled. If you delete a class, it won't show in the schedule at all. Use delete when you want to remove the class from the schedule entirely.

Note that class cancellation emails are sent out when you DELETE a class as well. If you don't want the email to go out, first unregister the students from the class.

How are refunds handled
Refunds are handled differently depending on how the class was purchased.
* Punchcards: the class is removed from the punch card,
* Subscriptions: the class is removed from the subscription,
* Dropin: a credit is given to the student in the form of a punch card for one class that is created for the student. The student is sent an email letting them know that they have this credit.
* Event or Classes with Custom Pricing: Taramala does not handle these refunds. They can be handled in Square.

How to setup a cancellation window
To set how soon before a class starts a student can cancel through the student schedule, go to Setup/Website and scroll to the bottom of those settings. You can set the cancellation window in minutes and this setting will apply to all classes on the schedule, unless a class or event has its own override set (see below).

Overriding the cancellation window for a single class or event
Sometimes one class or event needs a different cancellation window than the rest of your schedule — a workshop that needs more advance notice to plan for, or a drop-in class you're happy to let students cancel out of right up until it starts.

To set this, edit the class or event and find the 'Cancellation Window Override' field, near 'Maximum Class Size'. Leave it blank to use your studio's default cancellation window from Setup/Website. Otherwise, enter a number and choose Minutes or Hours to set a window that applies only to this class or event.

Admin: /* How Can I Pause a Subscription? */

Subscriptions are a powerful way to keep the studio going. Besides providing a regular sense of income, it also boosts class attendance and creates a thriving community.

Taramala supports a monthly subscription model allowing students to purchase or setup a subscription online. Once a subscription is setup, the student will be billed monthly via Square. This can be either through an emailed invoice or via use of a credit card stored on file is autopay is enabled for the studio Taramala account.

What information is stored in a subscription?
A subscription has the following properties:
* Bought on field (start date).
* Expiration date: the date when the subscription terminates.
* Cost: how much is charged each billing cycle.
Taramala contains logic to ensure that there are no overlapping subscriptions of the same type for a student.

Editing Subscriptions
While all fields are editable in a manual subscription, not all fields can be changed for an student subscription that is managed by Square.
* Bought on field (start date). Can be set today or a date in the future for a new subscription but cannot be changed once the subscription is active,
* Expiration. Is usually left null when creating a subscription, but can be set to a date in the future if needed. This field cannot be changed once the subscription is active,
* Cost. Defaults to the subscription package type cost for new subscriptions but can be changed when creating a subcription for a student. The cost can also be changed for an active subscription. In this case, the new cost will be used during the next billing cycle. Note that the cost can only be changed once within a single billing cycle.

Autopay feature for Subscriptions
If autopay is supported for the studio's account, the student is required to enter credit card information and the student is billed at that time for the subscription and then again on a monthly basis. If autopay is not supported, an invoice is sent to the student and the student pays the invoice separately.

Autopay: What if a student's credit card expires?
If a credit card used for autopay is canceled or expires, the following will happen:

* Student-Only Updates: Due to strict PCI compliance requirements, only the student can update their credit card information. Studio owners cannot do this on their behalf.
* Email Invoicing: An email invoice will be automatically sent to the student. When the student pays this invoice, they will be given the option to re-enroll in autopay.
* Late Payment Notices: If the payment becomes past due, a notice will appear on the student website informing them of the late payment, along with a direct payment link. When the student uses this link to pay, the new credit card will be automatically set up for future autopayments.
* Late Payment Enforcement: A student is given a 10 day grace period to make a subscription payment, after that the student will not be able to register for classes.

Can a student register for classes if an invoice payment is late
If a student is late is paying for a subscription, she will see the following reminder in the studio schedule widget and will be given a 10 day grace period to make a payment. During this period, she will still be able to register for classes, but after 10 days class registration will not be allowed until payment is made.

How can I check subscription status in Taramala
Under the Purchase tab there is a panel where you can quickly review your studio's subscribers and see most recent payments, how long a subscription was active and whether the account is current.

How do I find my subscriptions in Square?
After logging in to Square, go to the look for the 'Subscriptions' module in the left side navigation pane. All subscriptions created by Taramala are visible there.

https://squareup.com/dashboard/subscriptions

How do I enter Square Subscriptions manually?
Subscriptions are often purchased online by students, but you can also add a Square subscription in the Taramala app as shown below.

In this scenario, you can manually add a Square subscription just like you enter punchcards.

How do I enter Manual Subscriptions?
This may be useful for students that you are migrating over to Taramala and the student already has an active subscription. In this case, you would like Taramala to only keep track of classes and not handle monthly invoicing.

In this scenario, you can manually enter subscriptions just like you enter punchcards.

When you enter a subscription, you have the option to setup Square on the subscription.

If you check the Square checkbox, a subscription for your student will be created in Square and an invoice emailed to the student. If autopay is enabled, the next time the student navigates to the student schedule, the student will be prompted to enter credit card information which will be used to pay for the subscription on a monthly basis.

If you are migrating subscriptions from another system, set the 'Bought On' date to be the date of the next invoice for the subscription as it is set in the system you are migrating from and then cancel the subscription in the old system.

How do I cancel Subscriptions?
While it's possible to cancel subscriptions in Square, it's best to do this in Taramala since both Taramala and Square will be updated at the same time.
To cancel a student's subscription go to the Student's tab and select the student, then scroll down in the edit console to where Subscriptions are and click to edit the active subscription. From there, select 'Cancel Subscription'.

Can Students Cancel Their Subscriptions?
There is an option in the subscription tab to either allow students to cancel a subscription online or not. To provide studios with the ability to allow clients to cancel a subscription online, "click to cancel" support is provided as an option in the editor for Subscription Packages. This feature was added to make it easier for your students to cancel without require any effort on your part.

When enabled, students can cancel their subscriptions online from the 'Account' page of the Studio_Website.

Note that this feature is disabled by default.

How Can I Pause a Subscription?
Taramala does not currently support pausing subscriptions directly in the app, but you can pause them in Square:
* Log in to your Square Dashboard and navigate to Subscriptions.
* Locate the student's subscription and select Pause.

Important Note on Billing Cycles:
Any billing cycle that falls within the pause period will be automatically skipped. Make sure to unpause the subscription before the student's next desired billing date so they are properly invoiced when they resume classes.

Subscriber Benefits
With Taramala's custom pricing for classes and events, students can use their subscription to gain access to otherwise paid events. This is clearly shown in the student schedule as show below.

Reporting
Taramala allows you to build reports using charts and tables in the following areas:
* Payments: allow you to trend payment information over weeks, months or years, breaking down where your income is coming from.
* Attendance: allow you to track how the studio is doing through charts that look at attendance at a specific time or track changes in attendance over the years.
* Teacher: check how teachers are doing with average class size or use a chart to help calculate how much to pay them based on factors such as the number of classes, or attendance or average class size.

Reporting is offered with the STANDARD plan. Click Reports in the main menu after signing in to get started. Note that Reports is only available on a computer or laptop - it's hidden on phones and tablets.

Attendance reports
The 'Attendance' area helps you see who's coming to class and how often.
* Attendance over time: a bar chart of how many people attended class in each day, week or month of your date range - good for spotting whether attendance is trending up or down.
* Attendance by class type: the same chart, but split out to show how much of that attendance came from each style of class, e.g. how much was Yin vs. Hot Yoga.
* Attendance by teacher: a pie chart showing what share of total attendance went to each teacher's classes.
* Attendance by package type: a pie chart showing what kind of pass or membership people used to attend, such as drop-in, monthly unlimited or a class pack.
* Class by Teachers by Date: a table you can expand and collapse - start at a class, open it up to see it by teacher, then open further to see it by date.
* Attendance Data: a plain list of every individual check-in in your date range, in case you want to look up something specific or export it.

Payment reports
The 'Payments' area helps you see how much money is coming in and from what.
* Payments over time: a bar chart of revenue across your date range - the main chart for tracking how the studio is doing financially.
* Payments by teacher: a pie chart showing how much revenue came from each teacher's classes.
* Payments by payment type: a pie chart showing the mix of how people paid, such as card or cash.
* Payment Data: a row-by-row list of individual payments, useful for bookkeeping or double-checking numbers.

Teacher reports
The 'Teachers' area helps you see how much each teacher taught and what they should be paid.
* Attendance by teacher over time: a bar chart showing teaching activity per teacher across your date range.
* Attendance by teacher: a pie chart showing each teacher's share of total attendance.
* Attendance by package type: a pie chart showing what passes or memberships were used in each teacher's classes.
* Teacher by Class by Date: see Using reporting to pay teachers below - this is the report to use for calculating teacher pay.
* Attendance Data: the same raw check-in list as in Attendance, useful for double-checking the numbers behind teacher pay.

How to build reports
Reports can be controlled in two different ways.
* Dates: on the top right is a date filter where you pick the time frame to report on. Many presets, such as 'Last Month' are available to aid in this process though you can also use idioms such as '8m' meaning the last 8 months or '3y' meaning the last three years. Or you can directly enter an exact date range.
* Filters: on the left are a number of filters that allow you report directly on a specific type of class or a specific teacher for example.
Whenever you change the dates or filters, the reports are updated.

Using reporting to pay teachers
Taramala provides a chart in the 'Teachers' section that can be used to calculate how much to pay your teachers.
* Navigate to 'Reports'/'Teachers'
* Select the time period (i.e. 'Last Month')
* Scroll down to the 'Teacher by Class by Date' report or table.
The chart first groups all attendance in the time period by teacher, then by class then by the date of the class. The date line provides the attendance count for that class. Averages by teacher and teacher/class are also provided to track how your teachers are doing.

Exporting data for a report
Each chart or table contains a button to allow you to export the data in the report as a CSV file. There is no PDF export option - CSV (spreadsheet) is the only format available.

Use of detail data
The bottom chart contains the detail data (i.e. payments or attendance), that was used to build these reports.
Whenever you change the date or filters, this detail data will be updated. In some cases where you need more control over the type of report you want, you can export this data to a spreadsheet and manipulate it there.

To sell from your website you'll need a Square account which will be used to securely process credit card transactions.
Before enabling Square for use in Taramala, you'll need to create a Square account. After this is done, you can enable the Square integration in Taramala.
You'll be redirected back to the Taramala Setup/Integrations tab and the page should now indicate that Square use is enabled.

Once Square payment processing, you'll see a new 'Purchase' tab in the student website. Under the 'Purchase' tab, you'll see options to purchase punchcards.
Dropins are not available on the purchase tab such as punch cards and subscriptions. This is because a dropin is purchased with a specific class in mind. For that reason, it's visible as an option on the class page as shown in the picture below.
As drop in and punch card purchases are made, the studio owner is copied on receipts that go out to students. Purchases can also be seen in Taramala on the 'Payments' tab.

Refunds
Refunds can be made to students by going into Square and processing the refund.

Working without Square
It's also possible to use Taramala without the Square integration. While it won't be possible for students to make payments or donations online, it will still be possible for them to view and register for classes either using a punch card or registering as a drop in.

When students register for a drop in, they are added to the class but they will be registered as UNPAID. There registration will include a note stating that they should pay at the studio.

Also in the teacher app, teachers will receive a warning if there are attendees that have not paid.

Handling Unsupported Payment Methods
Since Square does not support payment methods such as Zelle and Venmo for online payments. You cannot integrate these payment methods directly into the Taramala checkout process. See below for instructions on how to handle different classes of payment methods.

Processing Zelle Transactions Manually
Because Zelle is a direct bank-to-bank transfer network and does not operate on credit card rails (like Visa, Mastercard, or Apple Pay), it cannot integrate with standard merchant processors like Square.

If your customers want to pay via Zelle, you must use a manual workaround.

The Workaround: How Merchants Handle Zelle with Taramala
If a client insists on using Zelle, you must process the payment outside of Taramala and record it manually to keep your accounting straight:

Step 1: Receive the Payment Externally
# Have the client send the Zelle payment directly to your business's linked bank account using your bank's app.

Step 2: Record the Payment in Taramala
# Update the payment manually in the Taramala teacher app.

Processing Venmo Payments Manually
Because Taramala does not natively process Venmo transactions directly through its student booking widget, you must receive the funds inside your Venmo app first, and then manually log the transaction in Taramala for bookkeeping and accounting purposes.

Step 1: Confirm Receipt in Venmo
# Open your Venmo Business (or personal) app.
# Verify that the correct payment amount has successfully cleared and is sitting in your Venmo balance.
#* Note: Do not record the transaction in Square based on a customer's screenshot; always confirm the funds in your own app first.

Step 2: Record the Payment in Taramala
Selling Online
Taramala integrates with Square to sell dropins, punchcards, subscriptions and event ticketing online. To sell from your website you'll need a Square account which will be used to securely process credit card transactions. Once this setting is in place a 'Purchase' menu entry is available on your studio website.

Sales in non USD Currencies
If your studio is in another country and you want to support online sales in that countries currency that is supported by Taramala (if that countries currency is supported in Square). Just setup your Square account in the international currency you desire, and Taramala will use the same currency when handling online transactions for your clients.

Setup
Enabling Square Access
Square is used as the default payment processor for all online purchases of punchcards, dropins, subscriptions and events.

Before enabling Square for use in Taramala, you'll need to create a Square account. After this is done, you can enable the Square integration in Taramala.
* Go to the Taramala Setup/Integrations tab.
* Select the 'Enable Square for Payments' button.

You'll be redirected to your Square account and be prompted to login if you are not already. Then you'll see a page describing the type of access that Taramala will need from Square to do payment processing.
* Select 'Allow'
You'll be redirected back to the Taramala Setup/Integrations tab and the page should now indicate that Square use is enabled.

Once Square payment processing, you'll see a new 'Purchase' tab in the student website. Under the 'Purchase' tab, you'll see options to purchase punchcards.

Enter Descriptions of Punchcards and Subscriptions
In Taramala, goto Setup/Packages and enter a description of the punchcards and subscriptions. This description will then show up in the studio website.

How Do Students Purchase Dropins?
Dropins are not available on the purchase tab such as punch cards and subscriptions. This is because a dropin is purchased with a specific class in mind. For that reason, it's visible as an option on the class page as shown in the picture below.

Sliding Scale Payments
When you set up a sliding scale payment you can specify a min/max price range and also a suggested price within that range. The picture below shows what students see when they make a purchase.

Working with Square
Purchases & Invoices

Handling Non-credit Transactions
Since Square does not support payment methods such as Zelle and Venmo for online payments. You cannot integrate these payment methods directly into the Taramala checkout process.

* Receive the Payment Externally: Have the client send the Zelle payment directly to your business's linked bank account using your bank's app.

* Mark as Paid in Taramala: update the payment manually.

Processing Venmo Payments Manually
Because Taramala does not natively process Venmo transactions directly through its student booking widget, you must receive the funds inside your Venmo app first, and then manually log the transaction in Taramala for bookkeeping and accounting purposes.

Admin: /* Can a student register for classes if an invoice payment is late */

While Taramala does not currently support pausing subscriptions, this can be done in Square by locating the subscription in Square and then pausing it.

Subscriber Benefits
With Taramala's custom pricing for classes and events, students can use their subscription to gain access to otherwise paid events. This is clearly shown in the student schedule as show below.

Admin: /* Autopay: What if a student's credit card expires?

If a student is late is paying for a subscription, she will still be able to sign up for classes though she will see the following reminder in the studio schedule widget.

Note that this feature is disabled by default.

How Can I Pause a Subscription?
While Taramala does not currently support pausing subscriptions, this can be done in Square by locating the subscription in Square and then pausing it.

Subscriber Benefits
With Taramala's custom pricing for classes and events, students can use their subscription to gain access to otherwise paid events. This is clearly shown in the student schedule as show below.

Billing
Overview of Taramala Pricing
With Taramala there is no contract and no setup or termination charges and no other hidden fees.

There is a base monthly billing price, a minimum, maximum and the 1% Square transaction charge. These can vary but let's say your base billing charge is $9/month and the minimum is $19/month and your maximum is $49/month. Let's go through a few scenarios:

* Taramala processes $400 for you in one month: $9 + $4 = $13. In this case your price is $19 which is the minimum.
* Taramala processes $2000 for you in one month: $9 + $20 = $29. In this case your price is $29
* Taramala processes $5000 for you in one month: $9 + $50 = $59. In this case your price is $49 which capped by the maximum.

Note that you pay these fees in addition to the transaction fees paid to Square. Note that some studios elect to not use Square and in that case they pay no transaction fees. That is more of a model where students use Taramala to register for classes and then pay you directly.

Note that these fees are per studio location. Contact help@taramala.com for discounts related to franchise support.

Pricing Tiers
Two types of subscriptions are offered for Taramala.
* BASIC plan: provides great support for small studios that are price conscious. This includes the base platform that many studios used for years when this plan was all that was offered.
* STANDARD plan: great for small to medium sized studios that can afford a minimal price increase for access to many features that ease management of studio.

The STANDARD plan provides access to all features provided by the Basic plan plus the following:
* Reporting: run payment and attendance reports for any time period.
* Waitlists: offer a waitlist for a class when it fills up.
* Custom packages: create punch cards or subscriptions for specific classes.
* Cell phone access to Taramala: mobile access to the Taramala teacher app.
* Extended discount support: support for New Student and Membership discounts plus many other features in this area.
* Location support: describe studio and class room locations.

Setting up Autopay
While not required, you can add a card on file that will be used pay your studio's monthly invoices from Taramala. This option is available in the Setup/Billing tab.

Only one card is saved at a time, so if you have autopay setup already and add another new card, the new card will replace the old one.

The Taramala Teacher App Architecture: A Web-First Mobile Solution
To give our instructors a frictionless experience on the go, Taramala utilizes a web-app shortcut approach for the Teacher App rather than a traditional, native app store download. This deployment strategy is designed specifically around the realities of a busy studio environment. By logging in through a standard mobile browser (like Safari or Chrome) and selecting "Add to Home Screen," teachers instantly gain a high-performance, icon-accessed application on their mobile devices. This setup provides a native app feel while completely bypassing the hassle of app store updates, password resets, and device compatibility issues.

Benefits to Our Team and Studio Operations
By packaging the app this way, we eliminate the primary point of failure for studio tech: onboarding friction. Instructors are ready to use the app in under two minutes without waiting for downloads or encountering version-mismatch bugs. Furthermore, because it hooks directly into Taramala's unified cloud database, there is zero delay in synchronization. It acts as a dedicated, reliable tool that lets our teachers focus on what they do best—teaching—rather than wrestling with administrative software.

💡 Wiki Pro-Tip: How to Guide Instructors on Setup
When onboarding new staff, copy and paste these quick instructions into their welcome email:

* Open Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) on your phone and navigate to our studio's Taramala teacher login URL.
* Log in using your teacher credentials.
* Tap the Share icon (iOS) or the Three-Dot Menu (Android) and select "Add to Home Screen."

A Taramala icon will appear on your phone's home screen, functioning exactly like a mobile app for quick roster access!

Unsupported Features
All features are supported except for reports. Reports require more screen real estate and should be run from a laptop or computer.

Limitations
For security reasons and to limit the possibility of unintentional updates, mobile access is only initially provided to Taramala admin accounts. However, should you want all teachers to have access just let our support team know.

Purchase
Mobile access is provided in the STANDARD billing plan and is also provided as an adhoc item that is billed monthly for a fixed price.

Admin:

Autopay: what if a student credit card expires?
If a credit card used for autopay is canceled or expired, two things will happen.
* An email invoice will be sent to the student and when the student makes a payment they will have the option to auto-pay.
* If the payment becomes late a notice will show on the student website letting them know that payment is late along with a link that they can use to make a payment. When they use this link the credit card used to make a payment will be set up with autopay.

Can a student register for classes if an invoice payment is late
If a student is late is paying for a subscription, she will still be able to sign up for classes though she will see the following reminder in the studio schedule widget.

Admin: /* Can Students Cancel Their Subscriptions?

Click to Cancel feature for Subscriptions
To provide studios with the ability to allow clients to cancel a subscription online, "click to cancel" support is provided as an option in the editor for Subscription Packages. This feature was added to make it easier for your students to cancel without require any effort on your part.

When enabled, students can cancel their subscriptions online from the 'Account' page of the Studio_Website.

Note that this feature is disabled by default.

Can a student register for classes if an invoice payment is late
If a student is late is paying for a subscription, she will still be able to sign up for classes though she will see the following reminder in the studio schedule widget.

So that is that studio's choice. The default is to not allow online cancellation.

How Can I Pause a Subscription?
While Taramala does not currently support pausing subscriptions, this can be done in Square by locating the subscription in Square and then pausing it.

The Attendance list is shown in the 'Signin' tab as well as the Classes & Events tab and allows you to view and edit class attendance.

The Attendance panel gives you quick insight concerning the registrations for a class.
* Whether the student has paid for the registration and how the student paid it.
* Whether the student has signed a waiver with the option to allow the student to sign the waiver if not.
* When the student registered and/or canceled the registration for a class.

How do I add and remove students from a class?
You can edit classes that have already happened or are scheduled for the future in the 'Classes & Events' tab. When this tab is loaded it will navigate to today's classes and you can scroll upward to see classes in the past or scroll down to see classes in the future. To edit a class, select and an edit dialog will show on the right.

To add a student click on the 'Add Attendee' link. To remove a student from a class, click in the '-' button to the right of the student's name in the class roster.

You can use the edit tab to and and remove attendees as well as change how a student is paying for a class.

On the day of the class, you can use the 'Signin' tab shown below. Generally the signin tab is used at the time a class is running or just before and the 'Classes & Events' tab is used to update classes in the past or the future.

When a student is unregistered from a class either manually or if a student unregisters in the student schedule, Taramala keeps track of that as well and a teacher can see which students registered and then cancelled later.

How to track which Students attended a class?
Taramala allows you to optionally track which students actually attended a class. By default, it is not enabled but the picture below shows how to enable this for your studio.

Note that by default, Taramala automatically tracks which students have registered or canceled their registration. The system does not know who actually showed up for a class however; it does not know about scenarios where a student registered a class but did not attend and did not cancel their registration before class. The check attendance feature gives you the capability to track that as well.

Also note that Taramala reports are focused on whether the student registered or paid for a class and don't reflect whether a student actually attended a class.

Edit a Class Payment Type for a Student
In the attendance list for a class or for a student, there is a button the indicates what package type (i.e. dropin, punch card or subscription) was used to pay for a class. This can be changed by clicking that button. When you do that, available payment options for that student will show in a drop down. Select one to update the payment type.

Note that a subscription or punch card option will only show if the student has bought that card and there are available classes on that card.

Taramala allows you to store notes about your students as well as 'Teacher Notes' which are notes about a class that are used to communicate information and tips to teachers teaching that class. This information is also communicated to teachers in the class digest email that goes out to teachers before each class.

Note that Notes support is available as an ala carte item for a small monthly charge (five dollars/month). Check your Setup/Billing page for access to this feature.

Teacher Notes
Teacher notes can be created for your teachers in the class signin page. Once entered, these notes will continue to be viewed on all instances of this class going forward (rather than just being for one instance of a class).

To help communicate these notes to the teacher teaching a class (or yourself), these notes also go out in the class digest email that goes out to teachers before each class.

Student Notes
Student notes can be written and read from the students tab. There is a click-to-edit field there that allows you to save and read these notes.

To help communicate these student notes to the teacher teaching a class (or yourself), these notes also go out in the class digest email that goes out to teachers before each class whenever a student is registered for that class.

This section covers day to day management of classes once your classes have been set up
and events have been set up.

How do I contact everyone in a class?
The class attendance list provides an email button that you can use to send an email to everyone in the class.

How do I cancel a class?
If there are students registered for the class, it will show in the Attendance list. Select the class so that is displays in the edit side bar and select the Cancel button from the toolbar up top.

The cancel button is the x button to the left of the trashcan in the picture below.

If there are no students registered, the class may have not been created yet (see 'Why doesn't my class show?' above). You can create the class however by selecting the '+' or 'Add Class' button. The dialog allows you to find the class and will create the class if it already does not exist. Once the class is created, you can select it in the Attendance grid so that is displays in the edit side bar and select the Cancel button from the toolbar up top to cancel it.

When a class is cancelled, any students registered are sent an email letting them know that the class has been cancelled. The class will still show in the student's schedule but it will be noted as canceled with no way to signup for the class.
When Should I Delete a Class?
Sometimes you simply don't want the class to show up in the schedule. If you cancel a class, it will still show up in the schedule as being "cancelled". If you delete the class it won't show in the schedule at all.

How Do I Enter a Substitute Teacher?
Sometimes you may want to change the teacher for just one or a few classes. As shown in the picture below, the teacher can be changed in the edit console on a class instance basis. This edit will just be for a single class session. Both classes in the future and in the past can be edited this way.

Once this change is made, the student schedule is immediately updated to show the sub as shown below. Note that, now the substitute will be sent the Class Digest email instead of the teacher.

Setting up Autopay
While not required, you can add a card on file that will be used pay your studio's monthly invoices from Taramala. This option is available in the Setup/Billing tab.

How to build reports
Reports can be controlled in three different ways.

* Navigate to 'Reports'/'Teachers'
* Select the time period (i.e. 'Last Month')
* Scroll down to the 'Teacher by Class by Date' report or table.
The chart first groups all attendance in the time period by teacher, then by class then by the date of the class. The date line provides the attendence count for that class. Averages by teacher and teacher/class are also provided to track how your teachers are doing.

Exporting data for a report
Each chart or table contains button to allow you to export the data in the report as a CSV file.

Use of detail data
The bottom chart contains the detail data (i.e. payments or attendance), that was used to build these reports.
Whenever you change the date or filters, reports this detail data will be updated. In some cases where you need more control over the type of report you want, you can export this data to a spreadsheet and manipulate it there.
